TO CONSIDER BEFORE READING
Many
might think that these writings are against Christians of pure and sincere
faith and impeccable conduct; but they are not written for them nor against
them.
There
have always been believers of profound faith, whom history venerates as heroes,
philosophers, philanthropists, martyrs, and saints; but, apart from the names
perpetuated by fame and many ignored but who glorified Christianity, true
Christians have always been a minority among the millions who nominally hold
that title.
The
naive faith with which the devout Christian believes in the infallibility of
the Bible, in religious dogmas, and in priestly preachings, reveals to us the
virtues that lie deep within human nature, and for them we feel profound
respect and do not wish to break their blind faith nor hurt their religious
feelings.
The
proposed investigation obliges us to particularly analyze Christian dogmatic
theology, as it is the main enemy of freedom of thought, and particularly of
women, the focus of our inquiry.
We
are not motivated by the purpose of degrading, minimizing, or offending solid
institutions rooted in our societies, but in search of the truth, we will
indeed combat the adulterations in pernicious ecclesiastical systems that break
all moral restraints and extinguish faith; likewise, dogmatizing theologians
who pretend to enslave history; and the Vatican, whose despotic arrogances are
repugnant to the majority of cultured Christians.
BEHIND
THE VEIL: FEMALE POWER ECLIPSED BY RELIGIOUS MISOGYNY
Preamble. Highlighting the historical value of women,
unraveling religious misogyny, revealing contradictions in sacred texts, and
promoting female empowerment and awareness. Invitation to dialogue and
participatory action.
Attempts, Background, and Foundation
Months
ago, I started a blog to publish articles related to misogyny—not to discuss
the term itself, but to investigate, analyze, and unveil the hatred towards
women implemented, maintained, propagated, and endorsed by various religions.
For technical reasons, it had to be taken down. It is now reopened with the
same name and four fundamental objectives:
Historical
Value of Women: A Journey Through the Empires.
I wish
to highlight the value of women in remote periods of human history, before the
advent of Christianity. Additionally, I will focus on their importance and
significance in the eras of different empires prior to Christianity.
Unraveling
Religious Misogyny.
I will
delve into the causes and origins of the fierce misogyny developed against
women by Christianity and Catholicism. I will show the continuity and different
stages of the implementation of this ancestral misogyny.
Challenging
Oppression: Contradictions in Sacred Texts.
I will
highlight the inconsistencies and contradictions in the contents and
interpretations of the "sacred" books used by the Church to justify
its hatred and discredit towards women.
Female
Empowerment: Reclaiming the Light.
I will
awaken interest and draw the attention of women so they become fully aware of
their important past and present role and the high value they represent. All of
this has been taken from them and minimized over twenty centuries.
Importance
and Value of Women.
Since
ancient times, women have played a crucial role in society, possessing
intrinsic value that transcends the barriers of time. I intend to embark on a
journey through the veils of the past, searching for the brilliance that once
enveloped female power, which has been relegated and obscured over the
centuries. My goal is to shed light on their forgotten greatness that predates
the arrival of Christianity, to try to understand the fierce misogyny that has
taken root in our society for millennia. I will immerse myself in the depths of
history, where women exerted significant influence in different cultures and
civilizations prior to Christianity. From powerful queens who ruled empires to
priestesses who held sacred knowledge. It is imperative to rescue their stories
and understand the importance they had in shaping our world.
Challenging
Religious Oppression.
I will
attempt to reveal the different stages in which ancestral contempt against
women has manifested, from distortions and biased interpretations of the
"sacred" books to the dogmas imposed by the Church. I will delve into
the mechanisms used to justify hatred and discredit towards women, revealing
the inconsistencies and contradictions inherent in those interpretations. We
will be the voice of women, emerging from the darkness created by Christianity.
Reason
and Understanding: The Truth.
It is
undeniable that the purpose that drives these publications cannot be
individualistic, as the task is too broad and complex. The participation and
contribution of many minds are needed, but it must be an objective
participation, free from fanaticism and without religious influences. Reason
and imagination, allied with understanding, are the tools that will allow us to
approach the truth, the fundamental objective of these writings.
Open
Dialogue: Shared Opinions.
This
blog proposes an open dialogue with readers interested in the topics, who will
have the option to comment, discuss, give opinions, ask questions, and even
publish their own contributions if they so request and if they align with the
blog's purposes. By sharing opinions and debating arguments, the authors and
participants will gain valuable insights to continue delving into the subject,
which is very complex and difficult.
Invitation
to Participate.
If you
are interested in participating, there is a section where you can sign up. If
you wish to remain anonymous, you can use a pseudonym without restrictions. An
email address will be the only mandatory requirement to establish contact if
necessary.
Conclusions.
Given
the breadth and depth of the topic, it is challenging to establish a strict
order, as the different aspects that could arise might suggest a different
sequence. In general, I will discuss misogyny, women in remote periods of
history and in different empires, sacred books and their influence on women,
the beginning of degradation, dogmas against them, theologians and scholars
against women, their sacrifices motivated by hatred, the martyrdom suffered,
without limiting myself to any other related topic that may arise or that
interested readers may suggest, contributing to clarifying the truth about this
millennial hatred. TO BE CONTINUED.
